Hey folks! Sorry that this page is turning more into a journal then a place to make announcements:) This past week I have been doing some murals with haumana in Kaka`ako, on the Leahi side of the Friends of the Library building, visible from the entrance and exit of Jelly's and Fisher's respectively. Hope to be part of the Pow Wow event again Next year:) The second image heralds an announcement (aha!) that this Saturday February 25th, at 10 am to 2pm, I will be doing live art as part of the opening of the Biennial X at the place formally known as the Contemporary in Makiki:) And tomorrow night at the University of Hawai`i Art Auditorium at 5:15 I will also be giving a talk along with the other artists, including slides. Hey folks, I just finished a shoot with Anne Marie Kirk and Carl Pao about Artists in Hawai`i and how they create, to be shown on `Olelo (Hawai`i Community Television) in November. These episodes with various artists will also be shown through the Department of Education throughout Hawai`i's High schools. We went up to the Ka`ala Cultural Learning Center in the back of Wai`anae Valley and I created the piece below in an hour. Just wanted to mention this because being able to share my process with other young and aspiring artist is super-duper important to me. This is one way that I can give back!
